‘Same old boring Sunday morning old mans out washing the car,
Mums in the kitchen cooking Sunday dinner her best meal moaning while it lasts,
Johnnys upstairs in his bedroom sitting in the dark,
Annoying the neighbours with his punk rock electric guitar,
This is the Sound,
This is the Sound of the Suburbs’

Remember if you were there, the 80’s, Club 1886 … the Lanc’s used to slam this anthem from the Members. Well it has a true ring and the band are planning to cover it again in time for the Bergvliet High School reunion gig at Mercury in September.

This is a special message to our treasured old mates (and new ones ) who were at the return to the suburbs evening as well as the Fogey’s bunch themselves to say we love you and thanks for such an awesome vibe!!!

There are more gigs including some open air festivals lined up for this year - details will be posted soon.

Who remembers the awesome Acoustic Cafe? The venue, sadly no longer around, is etched into our collective memorial walls - gigs there with Cheech and Captain Stu in 2005 & 2006 before it faded away rank amongst our favorites since re-entry. Fogeys, a venue which is fortuitously in close proximity, continues the tradition and sets a great standard in fabulous food and a rich platform for entertainment. We are so amped that the band and funny funny ‘daahling’ friend Tracy Klass are doing a Why Generation Comedy and Music performance at Fogey’s Railway House & Restaurant, Main Road Muizenberg on Saturday 11th July. This will mark a return to the suburbs for the subrurbs boys since doing one of the last shows at Acoustic Cafe three years ago. This is a great opportunity for those friends out there who don’t enjoy the late start city and Ob’s options. Comedy will commence at 8pm and the band will perform its complete song book … with a few new ones in the mix.

Come and enjoy a rare Lancaster Band suburban party!!! Great venue, vibes, music, food and lots of mind altering humour!

A fair cover charge of R50.00 (student discounted rate R30.00) for an evening packed with comedy and music will get you in but booking a table is strongly advised -
