Our esteemed keys man Brett and his wife Kim are now proud parents of a recent arrival!!! The handsome and talented, Tyler Fox Barton-Lancaster has arrived. Speculation as to the musical direction the new boy will take is rife, but it is rumoured that hyper-proud granddaddy Harris has already delivered the drum kit. Our best love and wishes to the new family!!!

Well the at least the good looking one with the ‘tash - extreme left - our very own Saxy G is still at it.

Gary uncovered this fascinating archive about the 1973 Prog rock outfit Asylum. Here he adds these comments and a wonderful anecdote…
‘The caption is wrong … David Bravo is 5th from left. Band members were from L to R Gary Munroe- Sax, Flute, Edward Tillanus Lead Guitar, Patrick ..?- Bass, Peter Goldberg - Vocal, David Bravo - Keys, Frank Hayden - Drums.
I dont know what any of them are up to now except Eddie who the last I saw was an activist for some environmental cause I think.
David Bravo
David is still playing in New York and has played with Anton Fig, Deodata and Jack Bruce Band among others. He is the nephew of Morris Goldberg (sax, cl, fl) who has played with Hugh Masekela and Paul Simon (the penny whistle solo on “You can call me Al” is Morris!) David still writes for Morris and has also written
film soundtracks - one of which I have a CD of - from the movie “Federal Hill”.

He went out with my sister, Petina for a couple of years before leaving for NY (partly because of impending SADF conscription). Before he left in about 1975, he arranged a huge gig at the CT City hall with Gerry Bosman big band together with Morris Goldberg and Symphony Orchestra.
One of his songs played that night he announced and dedicated to “a very special woman in his life” … it was called “Tina”. It was a beautiful instrumental with full orchestra which he serenaded to her as she watched from one of the special boxes just above the stage … I get goosebumps just thinking back to that moment, possibly her 15 minutes of fame !
He was married to a NY singer called Nancy Bender but divorced after a few years. He recently re-married to a NY female reformed Rabbi and has two small children. He has mellowed out a lot and Debbi and David now do two handers where she marries the couple and he supplies the wedding band at the reception! ‘
Check out http://www.davidbravoentertainment.com/ it would appear that David has established a niche of note!!!
